Halloween in Newtown, CT 2013 For the past 2 years, Halloween in Newtown didn't really happen. First was the October Storm in 2011 and then Hurricane Sandy in 2012. Halloween was postponed both years and the turn out was really low. hackney and leigh For Halloween in Newtown, CT 2013 , there were some light rain showers, but Halloween happened hackney and leigh - ON HALLOWEEN! The last time we posted a blog about Halloween in Newtown was 2008!
The trick or treaters started around 4:30 pm and went to about 9:00 pm. They started out slowly, but soon they were out en mass. Main Street in Newtown is very festive with many of the homes decorated. Some have themes ... some don't have any decorations at all.
The costumes, as always, hackney and leigh reflected what's currently popular in our culture. There were Action Heros (Captain America, Ironman, hackney and leigh Wonder Woman), Duck Dynasty characters, Hipsters (who at first I thought were some strange looking Harry Potters, but I was told by my friend's daughter they were Hipsters), World of Mindcraft characters and of course hackney and leigh some of the old standbys (Batman, Firemen, Fairies and Princesses).
