Kent Ridge Park (Chinese: 肯特 岗 公园) is a 47 hectare public park in western Singapore, the National University of Singapore and the Singapore Science rightmove plus Park. Because of disturbed habitat and abundant plant life, it is a popular spot for bird watchers and eco-tourists. During World War II, a hill in the park is one of the most fierce battles last and fought by the Malay Regiment against the invading Japanese army, the Battle of Bukit Chandu (also known as the Battle of Pasir Panjang), 12 to 14 February 1942. Garden was officially opened in 1954, and confirmed by the National Heritage Board as one of 11 World War II sites in Singapore in 1995. This is one of the more than 300 parks managed by the Singapore National Parks Board, NParks.
The area occupied by the Kent Ridge Park and the National University of Singapore, formerly known as the Long Sand Ridge, and initially lowland evergreen rain forests. Previously used to house senior British Army officer, bungalow last remaining colonial rightmove plus black and white at 31K Bukit Chandu has been restored and converted into a museum of World War II War Reflections at Bukit Chandu called, commemorating the war and those who fought in it. Initially there were two small bungalows under 31K, but they were destroyed in 1987 to make way for a public parking lot. There are three sized statue and a plaque outside the museum, the Malay Regiment honor and commemorate the lives of those who died. Kent Ridge Park, Labrador Park, and the war museum, is part of the Pasir Panjang rightmove plus Historic District, which focuses on the events of World War II battlefields in the western part of Singapore.
