My 67minutes | Chrizanda's Blog
On cytia Thursday, 22 July 2010, I board on flight MN201 Cape Town – Johannesburg. As I arrived on seat C21 this bubbly lady started talking to me. It turn out that she is an editor for a teen magazine, Frienz – lovely, new contact, whoop whoop.
She told me about this CD she bought Greatest speeches and named all the famous speeches by Mandela, Marcus Luther King, Churchill etc. I obviously knew each and every one of those speeches…not. hehe.
When she mentioned Mandela I told her that I feel so bad for completely forgetting about my 67minutes of doing something good on Sunday, 18 July, after she just told me about the many charities she support for the drop in sections of the rural areas in Polokwane. Her answer was poppie, jy hoef nie iets groot te doen om n bydrae te lewer nie. Gaan sorteer jou klere kas uit en vat dit na n kinderhuis. Okay so for me that is huge, but she is right, I have to do something to help others. I am so fortunate and my cupboard is over full. It is about time I make Mandela day a more regular occurrence.
