Conference Announcement / Call for papers pernilla 2010 Global Language Convention 8 to 11 April 2010, Melbourne, Australia The Global Language Convention Brings together, biennially, language experts, educators, practitioners and policy makers from around the world in dialogue and critical engagement with the ever growing body of knowledge in language. The 2010 Global Language Convention will explore the theme, Many Cultures, One Community: Language Knowing and Power through pernilla the volgende strands: 1. From Text to Message "Literature, media and communication cultures for C21 Learning" 2. Language Loss and Reclamation "Critical Perspectives" 3. Taking responsibility for the 2nd Language Learner in the Mainstream Language Environment "challenges, issues and trends in EAL, EFL, ESL, etc." 4. The Brain, pernilla Learning and Language traversing the journey from myth through policy development to implementation 5. Multilingual matters "beyond making the case for learning more than one language" 6. Defining, Developing, Refining, Maintaining the Mother Tongue 7.
