Triangle Housing Market Watch: Units Sold UP 20%!
“There was an increase in total units sold in December, with 2,204 sold this month in The Triangle Real Estate versus 1,892 last month, an increase of 16%. Let us repeat that – an increase of 16% from November 2013 AND a 20% increase year over year. And who said December is historically a slower month in the home buying cycle? OK, maybe it is, but let’s rejoice on these numbers for a second.
As a matter of fact, overall the year 2013 saw greater growth in home sales in the Triangle than what was expected. Our own Al Schnaidt , Sales Associate out of our Fonville Morisey Inside the Beltline Office in Raleigh spoke with WRAL TV’s Kelcey Carlson last week to give his quarterly insights reflecting on 2013 as well as what’s ahead for 2014.
